Online booking for personal trainers

A trainer's week has a hole in the middle of it. You are working half six until nine in the morning and five until nine at night, and the hours in between are yours. Most booking software assumes a nine to five and makes you fight it. Seatbooker takes hours per day, so a split shift is just how your week looks.

What your service menu might look like

A free consultation is a £0 service, and it is the one most trainers get the most out of - a no-obligation slot someone can book off your Instagram without having to ask what it costs.

Built around how personal trainers actually work

Split shifts are normal here

Set hours per day rather than one blanket week. Half six to nine and five to nine on weekdays, mornings only on a Saturday, Sunday off. Nobody is offered eleven o'clock on a Tuesday because you are not there.

A free consultation people actually book

Price a service at zero and it books like any other. It converts far better than "DM me for a chat", because there is nothing to negotiate and no reply to wait for.

Short-notice cancellations

Set the notice you need, write your policy in your own words, and mark the ones who do not show. A trainer's slot is perishable in a way a shop's is not, and the trust score is there so you know who you are dealing with next time.

Your clients are yours

No commission on bookings, on any plan. If someone has trained with you twice a week for two years, nobody should be taking a percentage for putting them in a calendar.

What Seatbooker does not do

Worth knowing before you spend an evening setting it up.

  • No block or package bookings. A client buying ten sessions books them as ten appointments rather than one purchase, and the balance is tracked by you, not by us.
  • No recurring appointments. A standing Tuesday 7am slot has to be booked each time.
  • No payments, so packages are still settled however you settle them now.

Common questions

My clients buy blocks of ten. Can they book a block?
Not as a single purchase, and this is the honest gap for trainers. There is no package or credit system, so a block is ten separate bookings and you keep track of what is paid. If most of your business runs on packages, that will be a real irritation and you should weigh it before switching.
Can a client set up a standing weekly slot?
Not automatically. There are no recurring bookings yet, so a regular Tuesday at seven is booked each week like any other appointment. Plenty of trainers find their regulars book a month ahead in one sitting, which works, but it is not the same as a repeat that just exists.
